My first week as a software developer intern in Salcedo, Makati City aka United State of Makati haha and it started exactly the way you would expect a first day to go: 4 AM wake-up, heavy rain, a broken-down bus at the Bocaue toll gate, and still making it in.
The office itself was worth everything. Walking in for the first time not as an applicant but as an actual intern hit differently. Day one was packed: IT-Dev Daily Scrum, HR orientation, ODTR and OJT guidelines, workspace setup, biometrics registration, and company ID processing. A lot for one day, but it made everything feel real and official.
The rest of the week followed that same energy. New people, new systems, new environment. Fellow interns, seniors, and supervisors who made the adjustment a lot easier than it could have been. This was the beginning of the internship journey — chaotic, memorable, and exactly how I wanted it to start.
